Okay, the TVPC is starting to come together, at least in my own mind. I have the hardware and installed 15.0p1 on it. I still need to buy the media remote, which will be a quick trip to amazon.
As for the rest, the technical bits seem to be falling into place nicely. I'll be setting up brave as the browser, probably through linuxulator, to watch netflix. It also appears possible to use it as the "window manager" in kiosk mode. If I can get the box to auto login as the tvpc user, and just throw the browser up there with the tabs already defined (jellyfin, netflix, and prime streaming), that will be perfect. I can then use the remote without having to use the keyboard side of it, and it will truly be an appliance, like my cable box or DVD player (yes, I still have one of those, though most of my content is in jellyfin).
